Think Before You Eat To Lose Weight

Filed under: Weight Loss, diet — jackj @ 12:32 pm

Something I touched on in the last post was to think about what you are eating and being concious about all of the calories you are taking in on a daily basis. It is easy to overlook how much butter you put on your toast, or how many crackers you add to your soup, these little things add up in big ways when you are not careful.

Try to implement a quick check process in your head before eating anything, I don’t mean getting out a calculator and figuring out to the single calorie what you are consuming, just try to be aware of how many croutons you are adding to your salad, or even how much salad dressing. There are a lot of ways to make something healthy like chicken soup or salad unhealthy, or loaded with more calories than you bargained for.

Something else to be aware of is drinks from cafes like Starbucks, whose frappecinos can have as much as 700 calories in a venti serving! The deserts there arn’t much better, either.

When you are trying to lose weight, keep it light, keep it diet, and just keep it simple.

Easy Ways To Burn Fat

Hi everybody welcome to the first post of the blog easy ways to burn fat. What I hope to achieve with this blog is teaching people different ways that they can lose weight, while trying to make it as easy as possible. I know most people hate the idea of weight loss or starting exercise plans or diets or whatever but I think if you just know what you are doing, it’s really not as hard as you think. While everyone is after the quickest way to lose weight there are a lot of ways you can lose weight over time that are easy to implement into your daily routine.

A big problem most people have is that they don’t know what things they really should be eating, what things they shouldn’t be eating, and of course what exercise they should or shouldn’t be doing. This leads to poor results which leads to people quitting their weight loss programs and going back to square one and being unhappy with their bodies.

Here are some important things to keep in mind when you are on a weight loss plan:

  • Every calorie you eat is another calorie you have to burn. Of course you should be eating a recommended daily minimum amount of calories to stay healthy while on your weight loss plan, but if your thinking of eating a few extra cookies just think of those cookies as another half hour on the treadmill, or an hour of walking, and you may be able to hold yourself off. Drink some water or a calorie free drink instead.
  • The more intense the exercise the higher calorie burn you will get from it. Walking for an hour can burn around 200 calories, that’s not much when you realize a pound of fat is 3500 calories. If your body is healthy and in good enough shape, consider a more intense exercise like swimming laps or running, you can burn up to 1000 calories with more intense exercises which will lea.
  • Limit white bready carbs for max weight loss success. Nothing more to this one, white bread and it’s cousins are bad for weight loss. Eat tons of vegetables!

I hope to add a lot of useful advice to this site as time goes on so please check back once in a while!
