Something I touched on in the last post was to think about what you are eating and being concious about all of the calories you are taking in on a daily basis. It is easy to overlook how much butter you put on your toast, or how many crackers you add to your soup, these little things add up in big ways when you are not careful.
Try to implement a quick check process in your head before eating anything, I don’t mean getting out a calculator and figuring out to the single calorie what you are consuming, just try to be aware of how many croutons you are adding to your salad, or even how much salad dressing. There are a lot of ways to make something healthy like chicken soup or salad unhealthy, or loaded with more calories than you bargained for.
Something else to be aware of is drinks from cafes like Starbucks, whose frappecinos can have as much as 700 calories in a venti serving! The deserts there arn’t much better, either.
When you are trying to lose weight, keep it light, keep it diet, and just keep it simple.
